Packaging & Delivery
At Hugh Phillips Gower Butcher we take pride in providing you with cuts of meat that are in prime condition. Our current dispatch days are Tuesdays and Thursdays, so bear this in mind when ordering.
We deliver to the whole of the UK and Ireland on a 24 hour, next day basis.
All our produce is vacuum sealed and packaged in sustainable packaging from WoolCool, the natural alternative to polystyrene with greater insulation properties. Insulated using lambs wool, our packaging is far more environmentally friendly.

I’d requested the packs of ribs to be separated and the meat to be cut into individual ribs rather then in packs of three.
This was done exactly as I’d asked which made the whole preparation exercise so much easier.

We can’t buy bacon ribs in East Anglia, and I have been craving them for years since having tried them a few times in Manchester and Ireland when visiting friends. My order was dispatched on Tuesday and arrived very timely on the Wednesday morning. The meat was very cold and the ice packs were still frozen solid which proves how well the sheeps wool idea works. Some went straight to the freezer, and some went straight into the pot for later the same day. A second order will be made shortly and I have already arranged for two friends who have never had them to come round for a taste of Jethro and Ribs, washed down by the inevitable pint of course.
