Why Non Evans Loves our Meat

Non Evans MBENon Evans meat is well-known for her sporting achievements and her commitment to helping others to reach their physical and sporting goals.

Her impressive sporting career includes playing International Rugby and being the only female to have competed at three different disciplines at the Commonwealth Games.  She is also a TV and Radio presenter including an Olympic Games commentator, a successful businesswoman and recipient of an MBE.

Non inspires others to make the most of their physique, feel better about themselves and increase their fitness and well-being.  At Hugh Phillips Gower Butcher, it is our enormous pleasure to work with Non and her clients by supplying the quality of meat required to contribute towards a ‘lean’ and healthy lifestyle.

Beef Mince

Did you know that extra lean raw mince beef contains; 174 kcal; 21.9g protein: 9.6g fat; of which 4.2g saturated fat; 1.5mg iron; 0.42mg vitamin B6; 2mg vitamin B12.

I can’t wait to make my speciality Spaghetti Bolognese, with wholemeal spaghetti of course!!

Hand-Made Sausages

Non Evans meatI never really ate sausages until I discovered Hugh Phillips Butchers. I always thought they were unhealthy and full of fat. But when I cooked these spicy sausages from Swansea Market on the George Foreman grill, not a drop of fat came out and the sausage remained full and did not shrink at all! Succulent Steak

Non Evans meatI love my steak on the weekend, always from Hugh Phillips Gower Butchers. They are so tender, tasty and fresh. I cook them on the George Foreman and they melt in the mouth and could be cut with a spoon!

Non Evans meatSteak is good for you because the saturated fat in a cut of beef is actually healthy for the heart. The claim is based on a study in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition that showed eating lean beef improved cholesterol levels and therefore reduced the risk of heart disease. Just avoid the chips and eat it with sweet potatoes instead!

Chicken Breasts

The chicken fillet steaks from Hugh Phillips Gower Butcher are the freshest and healthiest I have ever tasted. What’s more, chicken breast is so good for you, here are some reasons why:
